Nevada subcontracts out to a testing company by
the name of Psychological Services Incorporated
(PSI). This page is designed to aid you in understanding
many of the policies and procedures surrounding
this testing company. PSI maintains a website for
further explanations at
PSIExams.com
Psychological Services
Incorporated is located in Glendale California,
but has many testing centers across the United States
in which a prospective Nevada licensee can take
the licensing exam. PSI currently administers examinations
for many of the courses offered by Key Schools.
It would be of benefit
for any prospective licensee to obtain a testing
information packet on the test in which the student
is preparing for.

Key Schools would
like to highlight the following policies and procedures
of the PSI testing service:
- You
may cancel and reschedule an examination, but
your money cannot be refunded or transferred.
EXAMPLE: If you register for the salesperson test,
you cannot transfer to a broker test.
- You
must reschedule any date at least 3 full business
days prior to the original date scheduled.
- Phone
registration occurs with an individual who registers
prospective licensees across the U.S. for different
licenses. The appointment setters are often not
versed in Nevada's exact policies and procedures.
Therefore, DO NOT ask the individual setting the
appointment any questions related to licensure
or policies involving the procedure of testing
and licensure. If you have a question related
to the process please contact Key Schools (702-313-7000)
or the state of Nevada Department of Business
and Industry (702-486-4033).
- Do
not lose your original copy of your test results.
You will have to send away for an additional original.
A copy of the original is not acceptable by the
state of Nevada.
Tips
on testing
- Prepare
for a situational type of test question. Questions
often involve peoples names and places that may
have nothing to do with the question being asked.
Create your own situations from subjects taught
in the course. “Mental Image”
- Do
not memorize the questions and answers that you
have been taking in preparation. Become more familiar
with the subject matter of the questions.
- Read
all answers at least twice before answering
the question. The writers of the exam specialize
in writing questions that correlate key words
in the question with key words in each answer.
- Some
students read the answers first, then read the
question. This way, the student prepares for a
question built around the topics in the answers.
